Finbarr Lucas
Finbarr Lucas trained in sculpture at SHU and then gravitated towards furniture-making. Since he established his business more than 20 years ago he has created hundreds of commissions for private, public and commercial clients, including the Sheffield Botanical Gardens, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the BBC. He has extensive experience in hardwoods and has gained a reputation for extraordinary and striking creations, and for solving complex problems in design and making, particularly in curved work.
Finbarr teaches classes in hardwood furniture-making, both privately at his workshop and at the University of Sheffield.
