Zeba Contemporary Ceramics
Zeba's work is inspired by the marks of human activity such as the time-worn aspects of industrial buildings and casual graffiti. Using slips, oxides, and underglazes in various combinations of mark-making on the clay surface, she intends to capture the layered, palimpsest-like quality of the human story. Zeba has a PhD in Communication from Texas A&M University, USA. She later trained as a studio potter at Clay College in Stoke-on-Trent, graduating from the two-year course in 2019. She works from her studio located at the Heritage Spode Works building in Stoke-on-Trent.
